How the Procedure Is Performed

Thermage generates radiofrequency energy to a handpiece, which delivers cooling to protect the skin while simultaneously deep heating your skin’s innermost structures.

• Face: Thermage safely heats your skin’s under-layer and the web of collagen in the inner layer, causing an immediate tightening as well as improved tone and texture. And the improvements will continue and become even more noticeable for 4 to 6 months following treatment due to new collagen growth. If you’re concerned about a double chin, KYBELLA® injectable treatments can reduce the fat that causes it.
  
  
• Body: Thermage on the body can tighten loose skin, shape and reduce volume, and improve the appearance of cellulite. Thermage heats the subcutaneous layer of the skin, which consists of fibrous strands, fat cells and blood vessels. This heat tightens the fibrous strands to smooth the skin and minimize dimples. Heating the subcutaneous tissue also helps improve blood flow to the cellulite-prone tissues and improves the appearance of cellulite. Improvement can be immediate and will continue over a 6 month period. Patients have reported results lasting up to a year; however, results may last longer.
  
  
• Eyes: Thermage is the only procedure that helps smooth and tighten skin and decrease wrinkles and hooding in the eye area without surgery or injections. It also offers little to no downtime. You’ll have younger looking, more lifted eyes that look less tired. The procedure takes about 1 hour.
  
  
• Hands: Thermage can safely smooth and tighten wrinkled skin to treat “old age” hands. As with other Thermage treatments, there is little to no downtime. Immediate improvements may be seen and will continue for up to 6 months. Thermage hands can be used in combination with Radiesse®, a volumizing filler, for maximum rejuvenation. Recovery

Because there is no bruising, swelling or sutures, you can apply makeup and return to your normal routine immediately after the procedure. When your body is treated, it is suggested to wear a compression garment for 12 hours out of the day or night for 3 weeks.
