Buttock / Thigh Lift

Few of us are born with voluptuous, sensual curves and, as we get older, what we do have often starts to flatten out, sag, and fall. A firm, full and round backside and tight, smooth and slender thighs can help us to look and feel more confident, sexy, and youthful. Buttock augmentation is ideal for those patients who would like a firmer, tighter and shapelier backside. Brazilian Butt Lift and buttock & thigh lift surgery are procedures which can be performed on their own or in tandem to achieve a more aesthetically pleasing lower body contour. During your consultation, Dr. Born will determine which procedure will help you attain an ideal result that suits your body and lifestyle.

What it Is

Buttock & thigh lift surgery, as well as Brazilian Butt Lift surgery are procedures that are performed to correct and/or enhance a flat, droopy or misshapen bottom. For those patients who experience increased skin laxity as a result of the aging process or major weight loss, a buttock and thigh lift can make a difference. This procedure removes excess skin in order to restore firmness and tightness to the skin around the buttocks and thighs. An incision is made at the top part of the buttock—low enough to be well hidden by your underwear or bikini—then the excess skin is pulled up and removed, and the incision is closed with an absorb-able stitch so that no suture removal is necessary. For those patients who are looking to achieve a fuller, rounder, more shapely buttock, Dr. Born may perform Brazilian Butt Lift or micro fat grafting. This procedure involves taking fat from an unwanted part of your body (such as the abdomen, back, arms or inner thighs) and placing it in the desired area to shape and contour the buttocks. Large volumes of fat will be removed from a donor site such as the abdomen, flanks or thighs via liposuction, and then transferred into the buttock to add volume and definition. Dr. Born manually injects the harvested fat with a syringe to carefully contour the buttock and achieve the ideal shape.

What to Expect

During your recovery, you may be required to wear a binding garment in order to minimize swelling and improve circulation. Patients should avoid the sitting position for 2 weeks (that includes driving) to avoid pulling at any incisions. Dr. Born and the nursing staff will instruct you on alternative rest positions.
